The Merritt Education Foundation LLC Is A 501C3 Non-Profit Corporation Formed by Pastors Von & Mary Merritt of Word Alive Church In Christ To Make Manifest Their God-Given Vision of A K-12 School System Designed "For Us and By Us" Firmly Committed To Laying A Foundation For The Next Generation of African American Youth.
The Merritt Education Foundation's Mission Is To Facilitate The Design, Development, Staffing, Administration and Full Implementation of A Curriculum For An All-Private, Kindergarden Through 12th Grade, Multi-Cultural, Christian/Hebrew Academic School System.
The Merritt Education Foundation's Mandate Is To Bring Together Church & Community Leaders, Educators & Education Administrators, Education Masters & PhD Candidates To Design, Develop, Staff and Administer A K-12 School System Designed to Take African-American Youth "From The Cradle To The College Campus With A Strong Foundation of Education Based On Knowledge of Their Own Christian Culture, Hebrew Heritage and In Keeping With Our Tradition of Excellence In Education Earned Through Centuries of Consistent & Continuous Contributions to Both World And American History.
