The Merritt Education Foundation Is A 501C3 Non-Profit Foundation Formed Exclusively For The Design, Development, Staffing, Management And Administration of Our K-12 School System Which Is Being Built As Part Of The Word Alive Church In Christ Community Campus in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Heavenly Angels Elementary School; The Cornerstone Middle School And The Rev. Dr. Von Merritt Senior High School.
These Schools Are All Private, Multi-Cultural, Christian/Hebrew Schools Dedicated To Providing A Solid Educational Foundation for The Next Generation of Our Youth
The Model
We Are Modeling Our Entire K-12 System To "Mirror" The Model of The Historically Black College & University System (HBCUs) Which Have A History of Providing A Solid Educational Foundation Alongside Outstanding Personal Character Development with Students Experiencing Significant Spiritual Growth Due To These Institutions Having Strong Ties To and Consistent Cooperative Relationships With The Black Church.
About The Merritt Education Foundation
The Merritt Education Foundation Was Formed Specifically To Make Manifest The Vision of Rev. Dr. Von and Evangelist Mary Merritt, The Founder, Pastor, First Lady & Co-Pastor of Word Alive Church In Christ International Inc. An Afro-Centric, Non-Denominational Christian/Hebrew Church Founded In May of 2020. God Gave Them A Vision For "A Church In The Heart of The Community With A Heart For The Community..." So They've Set Out To Build A Self Sustaining Community With The Church At Its Center.
Because Our Desire Is For The Word Alive Church In Christ Community Campus to Be "A Legacy of Love For And Service To The Community" That We Want to Leave For Our Children, Grandchildren and Generations To Come, We Want This Campus To Take Our Children "From The Cradle To The College Campus" On A Firm Foundation of Education Based On Knowledge Of Their Christian Culture, Their Hebrew Heritage And A Tradition of Excellence In Education Earned Through Centuries of Consistent & Continuous Contributions To Both World And American History.
